This event:
The UCSRN Tournament 2025 is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this exciting inter-University College event to life on Saturday, April 12, 2025. This dynamic tournament gathers University College students from across the Netherlands for a full day of sports, cultural competitions, and social bonding at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) Sports Center.
This volunteering opportunity offers a fantastic chance to be part of a spirited, community-driven event while engaging with students from different University Colleges. Some of the key competitions featured in this year’s tournament include:
🏀 Sports Competitions: Basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, tug-of-war, dodgeball, relay races, chess, and esports (Mario Kart).
🎭 Cultural Activities: Dance battles, live painting, the famous Battle of the Bands, and mascot face-offs.
🤹 Unique Additions: "Battle of the Jacks," a fun challenge for participants named Jack, and the "Battle of the Boards" kickoff event.
Beyond the competitions, inter-UC bonding activities such as banner-making, rap battles, and scavenger hunts will encourage creativity and camaraderie. The event will end with an exciting awards ceremony in the evening.

There are five UCSRN tournament organising teams: Logistics, PR, Treasure, Arts & Culture, and Sports. In total, we are 18 people from EUC and UCR and we have been working to put together a (hopefully) incredible event!

Your role:
As a volunteer, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the event through various tasks, including:
🛠 Event Setup: Helping to prepare sports fields, cultural event areas, and equipment for activities like Battle of the Bands.
📋 Registration Assistance: Welcoming and checking in participants, distributing materials, and guiding attendees.
🥪 Logistics Support: Ensuring all participants receive their lunch and assisting with general event coordination.
Beginner Level - Beginner Level - No prior experience is necessary, as detailed briefings and on-site guidance will be provided. Check this out before signing up.
